Who run the world? Girls! It is time to take a stance and not just talk about feminism, but actually make the necessary steps to strengthen and sustain this forward-looking movement.
Follow Feminists
The best way to promote and celebrate feminism is by following the movements of those paving the way for gender equality and women’s rights. This involves reading books by feminist authors, watching speeches by progressive activists and generally getting clued up about the works of strong-minded women who are channelling their energy into making a change.
Join Groups
Feminists unite! Show your dedication to the cause by getting involved with organisations set up specifically to showcase just how great women really are. You could create a Facebook group amongst local feminists or, if you have specific interests, get involved with a company like Mslexia (a magazine written solely by female creatives).
Speak Out
So, you want to champion feminism? Then shout about it! Proudly vocalise your stance as an individual who is pleased to fight for female equality – you could write a blog post or simply discuss any core issues centring this subject on social media – this way you can spread the word of feminism without preaching it.
Visual Vibes
If you want to make it overtly obvious that you are a proud feminist, then why not get yourself some contemporary clothing or accessories that accentuate your belief in girl power? For example, there is a vast array of t-shirts out there with cool slogans designed to empower women with quotes of love and peace.
Celebrate the Successes

Although there will be more obstacles to face in the future, we must take a moment to acknowledge the progress that has been made so far. 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, and every year we celebrate International Women’s Day with a whole host of forward-thinking campaigns and events.
