The film is based on ‘The Sanitary Man of Sacred Land’, a short story from Twinkle Khanna’s book, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who revolutionised the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India.
This movie revolves around the story of a legend who invented low-cost sanitary pads to help the poor women of rural areas who would unhygenically use rag clothes or leaves during periods.
