Facebook Admits that Survey Asking Questions Related to Pedophilia was a Mistake

Facebook has admitted that a questionnaire which asked whether it was acceptable for an adult man to ask a 14-year-old girl for indecent images was a “mistake”.
The highest ranked social media ran a survey on Sunday asking its users about how to respond to a situation related to social and moral aspects of a person. They wanted to know whether they would like be updated about information related to a person asking for graphically sexual pictures from a minor.
Respondents started buzzing about how the survey was irresponsibly composed and irrelevant. Technically it’s illegal and immoral when adult men are exploiting and abusing minor girls for pictures.
Facebook’s Guy Rosen admitted that the survey was a mistake but said that the social network was simply trying to understand how people would react to policing on the website.
“We regularly work with authorities if identified. It shouldn’t have been part of this survey.”
“We sometimes ask for feedback from people about our community standards and the types of content they would find most concerning on Facebook.’ said by a certain Facebook spokesperson.
In a published statement, Facebook also stated that, “We understand this survey refers to offensive content that is already prohibited on Facebook and that we have no intention of allowing so have stopped the survey. ”
