From the nod to the Pink Floyd classic album in the title to the energetically raw production this EP from London’s Screech Bats is a sign that music is in safe hands and maybe it’s time to let go of some of those old acts clogging up the festival scene. Already veterans of many of the UK’s more eclectic summer events this record can only enhance the reputation of this fast rising outfit. Formidable writing played with punchy efficiency is complimented with raped fire vocals written on everyday subjects. Screech Bats sound like a band capable of great things.
