This morning, electronic-pop group Years & Years released “If You’re Over Me”, a new track off of their highly anticpated album “Palo Santo”.
The rhythm is very upbeat and extremely catchy, despite the subject matter being the opposite. A statement from the press release of their new album read: “On ‘Palo Santo’, Years & Years’ impact on pop feels truly tribal, one in which the minority is always the majority, and everyone is welcome”. In addition, it says the band has made “the perfect space in which to tell their most intimate, personal stories; on identity, sexuality, performance, and ultimately, what it means to be human”.
The band has released their eleven song tracklist for “Palo Santo”, which includes “Sanctify”, released two months earlier. The album is set to be released on 6 July.
Years & Years is also set to play a show on 10 July at London’s Roundhouse. Tickets go on sale tomorrow 11 May, however fans of the band can get access to a pre-sale if they pre-order they album.
