Rock legend Daryl Hannah and Neil Young may have quietly tied the knot over the weekend as fans and friends congratulate them on social media.
Blues guitarist Mark Miller disclosed the news via a Facebook post, saying: “Congratulations to Daryl Hannah and Neil Young on their wedding today. may they have a long and happy relationship.”
The Mirror was the first to report that the 57-year-old actress and the 72-year-old rocker wed. According to the outlet, the couple got married in front of friends on Saturday at a small ceremony in Atascadero, California. The following day, Hannah posted a cryptic message to fans on Instagram. “someone’s watching over us… love and only love”.
Hannah and Young became public shortly after Young divorced his wife Pegi Young. They had 36 year conjugal life. The couple were criticized by friends, Young shared, including his former bandmate David Crosby.
“When we got together, even some of my good friends were negative about it, and I could never understand it,” Young recalled. “[Daryl is] a wonderful human being, and I’m very lucky to know her. That’s all I was thinking.”
