Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the father of the nation, also known as Bangabandhu, was a Bangladeshi politician and statesman who served as the country’s first president and prime minister from April 1971 until his assassination in August 1975. He was also known as Sheikh Mujib or Mujib. He had a remarkable political career and gave his entire life to the construction of Bangladesh.
