An entire nation has been rocked by the sad news of Avtar Sadiq’s death. An inspirational activist, Avtar served on the Commission for Racial Equality and, more recently, secured the status as Vice President of the Indian Workers Association (GB). As a candidate of Unity for Peace and Socialism, Avtar soon become a local and national figure and is an individual who will be fondly remembered for his forward-thinking attitude and quest for betterment within the community.
