Assange Extradition hearing

Supporters of Wiki leak founder Julian Assange stood outside the Old Bailey demanding Assange to walk free.

From 2006 to 2010 his NGO Wiki-leaks published catalogs of classified US military materials which took the world by storm. It included details of the US military involvement in avoidable civilian deaths and the casualties of Yemen drone strikes.

The world found out horrible accounts of the Baghdad airstrike, and records from the Afghanistan War logs and Iraq War logs, and about the Cable gate. After the 2010 leaks, the US government took legal actions and launched a criminal investigation into this organization. The documents and videos that were leaked were met with global outrage questioning the role of the American government in taking civilian lives.

The US has filed an extradition request for Julian the trial of which has been going on in the UK. Development from the extraction trial has revealed today that the leaked documents published by his organization have not caused any harm to US informants.

89-year-old Daniel Ellsberg who is a whistleblower of Pentagon pointed out to the court that there has been no evidence of harm caused upon the release of those documents. He stated that the revelations from “Wiki-leaks is one of the most truthful revelations of hidden criminal state behavior that have been made public in Us history”

On the other James Lewis, the cross-examiner suggested the connection of the leaks to murders. The hearing still continues.  It is a matter of time until will find out whether Julian will walk free or not.
