It’s that time of year again when we’re all brushing the dust off of our old Christmas music selection, and where we’re arguing over which is better; Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas and Band-Aid 1983 ‘Feed the World/Do They Know it’s Christmas. Well, this year there’s another type of single to check out, it’s a charity one but one that carries a certain message.
A Candle for Carson has dedicated the memory of a young boy named Carson who passed away the last month having not long celebrated his 3rd birthday.
Carson was born with an underlying health condition, Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), and had spent a lot of his life in Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s Hospital due to his condition. His further conditions also included Dextrocardia (heart on the right side of his body), Pulmonary Atresia (complete blockage in the heart), Transposition of the Great Arteries (main two human arteries leaving the heart were opposite to where they should be), Large VSD (large hole in the middle of his heart), ASD (hole in the wall of the heart) and several other conditions.

The song also serves us as a reminder about how the human feeling of love, compassion and empathy affects us all as people during some truly horrific times.
Traction, Miranda Myles & Master C all came together to produce a truly wonderful and moving song and Miranda’s vocals fully capture the raw emotion of the song.

Definitely one for the Christmas playlist and a reminder to use all that in times of challenges and difficulty our feelings and compassion for each other are all what’s really important
