Are you are daredevil? Ever dreamt of skydiving? This is your moment to realise your dream! This is your chance to do so while raising funds for a worthy cause.
Five celebrities are joining Barnardo’s in their efforts to raise funds to support and help vulnerable children and youngsters. The celebrities are using their public profiles to encourage the general public to join them in a charity skydive.
The celebrities taking part in the fundraising event are Sam Thompson and James Dunmore (from Made in Chelsea), Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen (from Love Island) and Calum Best (from Celeb’s Go Dating).
They will be jumping out of a plain and plummeting at 120mph for a stretch of time before ejecting their parachutes to gently float down to earth for the last segment of the skydive.
People will be able to join the celebs for the charitable skydive at the Hinton Skydive Centre in Brackley, Northamptonshire on 31 March. There will also be skydiving events taking place at other location around the UK on the same day so that as many people as possible can take part.
The celebs are all very excited to be taking part in the event.
“I can’t wait to do the skydive for Barnardo’s. It’s slightly terrifying but I know it’s going to be an incredible experience and will raise money for such a great cause at the same time,” says James Dunmore from ‘Made in Chelsea’. “I’m really looking forward to it and hope as many people as possible take the chance to take part too.”
“This is a fantastic opportunity to do something different so it would be great for as many people as possible to take part to raise money to help children at the same time,” says Gabby Allen from ‘Love Island’.
You can find more information about the event and sign up at barnardos.org.uk. The registration fee is £70 and the minimum sponsorship target is £395. People who sign up will receive support and advice from the events team as well as a Barnardo’s challenge t-shirt.
