Climate Protests Across France!

On Saturday, tens of thousands of people took part in a protest across France calling for more attention to the climate crisis.

The protesters tried to get politicians attention on the climate crisis in the run up to the presidential election next month.

The message that protesters used is “Look Up” & “When are we going to talk about it”.

The words are taken from Netflix hit ‘Don’t Look Up’ where the director tried to address politicians’ attention to save earth from climate disasters.

A recent survey of the climate justice NGOs found that politicians gave only 1.5% commitment on climate crisis during their political speech. .

According to the organizers, a total of 80000 people joined the protest, including 32000 people in Paris.

A Protester said, “The situation is worse than critical. I’m only 34 years old, and even I’ve seen the planet slapped in the face with a shovel.”

“We have to protect the land we’ll leave to our children. But politicians had not so far shown they were up to tackling the challenge,” she added.
