The festival will feature an exhibition where guests can visit free of charge to view the colorful dragon boat on display at the foodhall. The dragon boat has been donated by Race The Dragon and will be on display for guests to view and photograph. Visitors will also be able to visit the mini exhibition to learn about the Dragon Boat Festival and the history behind it.
Dragon Boat Racing has ancient Chinese origins and its history has been traced back for more than 2000 years. Racing was held to avert misfortune and encourage the rains needed for prosperity as the dragon of Asia is a symbol of water.
