Dublin Legends Concert at Birmingham Town Hall Review

Legends by name and legends in the true sense of the word.  The group brought their unique blend of music, song and humour to the Town Hall on St Patrick’s Night. In the wake of Ireland’s Grand Slam victory in the Rugby Six Nations, the atmosphere was already buoyant and, with the aid of a pint or two of the black stuff, the audience was soon singing and clapping along with classics such as “The Irish Rover,” “The Black Velvet Band” and “Molly Malone,” as well as newer and original material. Gerry, Paul, Sean and Shay kept us well entertained for over two hours and as always, it was great to catch up with them for a chat afterwards. On a poignant note, we remembered our good friend, Eamonn Campbell, who passed away during the tour of Holland last October and the band’s latest album “The Dublin Legends Perform The Dublin Sessions. Volume 2” is dedicated to his memory.
