Elton John is retiring from touring. The musician made the announcement yesterday saying, “I need to dedicate more time to raising my children”. His three-year farewell tour will take him all over the world.
In his statement, Elton John said that he meant what he said. He gets a rela kick out of performing and is very grateful to the fans but this is not a fluke. The legendary British artist will not be returning to touring once the tour is over.
His ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’ will kick off in the US and will come to an end in 2021. The UK tour dates will be in 2019-2020. and tickets will be available to purchase in September.
Elton John also took the opportunity to deny the rumours that he was retiring from touring because of his health. “I’m in great health”, he said. He insisted that the reason for his retirement was that he wanted to concentrate on his family life.
