Dubai-based Fat Randall play the kind of infectious pop punk most fans would associate with Green Day and the Offspring. Their music does have that big happy feeling about it with great hooks and driving rhythms. There’s more to it than that though because ‘Keep it Down’ is a more modern record for a much more modern age. The sound is chunkier than you might expect and the lyrics while still clever are for a more discerning age. As music has grown and fans have become pickier so it will be acts such as Fat Randall that will be the ones most likely to succeed.
