Flatpack Festival Announce Full Programme for April 2018

Flatpack Festival is returning to Birmingham for its 13th annual edition, bringing together a truly eclectic line-up of events that will give visitors a unforgettable cinematic experience.
The Festival will consist of exclusive screenings, performances, exhibitions, parties and much more. Some very special guests will be arriving in the city and gracing some of the events with their presence.
As part of the eclectic line-up, Flatpack Festival will be highlighting breakthroughs and innovation in audio-visual experimentation and some of the very best in animation, local underground productions and international cinema.
Screenings for this year’s edition include a screening of Hitchcock’s silent classic ‘The Lodger’ and a very special screening of a rare gem – 1922 Swedish silent film ‘Haxan’ with running commentary by Reece Shearsmith and live music by Stephen Horne.
This year there will a series of exhibitions and events on the first weekend retelling some of the most important events that marked Birmingham’s history such as Enoch Powell delivering his ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech, the formation of Black Sabbath and student protests.
The hundred events included in Flatpack Festival will be taking place from 13 – 22 April at twenty venues all across Birmingham.
