Grammys Show to Include a Tribute to Victims of Vegas Shooting

It has been announced that country stars will be performing together at the Grammys to pay tribute to the victims of last year’s shooting in Las Vegas. The performance will also pay tribute to all victims of gun violence and terrorist attacks at live music events in 2017.
The shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival claimed the lives of 59 people and many more were injured. Brother Osborne, Maren Morris and Eric Church, who all played at the festival, will come together at the Grammys to perform a tribute to the victims.
“Live music events have always provided a safe place for fans to gather in a shared celebration of music”, said Neil Portnow, President of the Recording Academy. “We believe it’s incredibly important to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in these senseless tragedies”.
New York’s Madison Square Gardens will be the venue for the 60th edition of the Grammy Awards. The ceremony is on the 28 Jan. Other performers include Kendrik Lamar, Sam Smith, Bruno Mars and many others.
