Hotel Collapsed by Car Crash in India, at least 10 Killed

At least 10 people were killed and more than dozens feared trapped in the rubble after a four-story rickety hotel collapsed in Indore, India on Saturday, according to reports.
Rescuers have worked the whole night with sledgehammers and chainsaws and pulled alive 10 people from the debris of the building that came crashing down in Indore, a city in Madhya Pradesh state, on Saturday night, said police officer Sanju Kamle.
More than 24 people may be trapped in the rubble, according to the Times of India. A driver lost control of his car and struck a pillar that was holding up the structure which caused the collapse of the decades- old structure.
The hotel with 25 rooms was situated in the commercial area of Indore, close to railway and bus stations. Indore is nearly 900 kilometres (560 miles) south of New Delhi.
The State government has announced a compensation for the victims. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said a compensation of INR 2 lakh (US $3,000) each, will be given to the families of the deceased and INR 50,000 ($767) each for those injured.
The hotel was about 60 years old and had around 15 rooms.
The whole incident was also captured on a CCTV camera, and the video of the incident has gone viral. The CCTV footage, which is of a few seconds, shows the building collapsing and some vehicles getting trapped under the rubble.
