Vans is hosting 3 days of festivities of Girls Skate Events, with Girls Skate Night, Girls Skate Camp, Skate Skool and the European premier of the film ‘Girls Skate India’. This free event is an initiative of Vans’ ‘This Is Off The Wall’ Campaign.
Vans is inviting girls of all skating abilities can hit the bowl and street area from 6pm on Friday 9th March 2018 for Girls Skate Night. House of Vans tutors will be available on hand to assist beginners.This event will also be the European premier of the film ‘Girls Skate India’ which captures the essence of the emerging skateboarding scene in India. The House of Vans gallery space will display a photo exhibition of images from the film. The event will end with a live music performance by Suzi Wu and guests can enjoy cocktails on the house until close at 11pm courtesy of The Wall SE1.
On Saturday 10th March Vans is hosting Girls Skate Camp. The event aims to inspire a new wave of women’s skateboarding progression globally. 50 lucky attendees who sign up via Vans.co.uk/girlsskate first get exclusive access to the venue and the Skate Clinic from 11am – 2pm.
From 2pm the event will be open to the public for the Girls Skate Camp. Skate practice will be conducted in Tunnel 5 from 2pm mentored by pro skateboarder Steff Nurding. A Skate Jam and Best Trick Competition from 4 – 5pm in Tunnel 4 judged by Steff Nurding and Lucy Adams. The event will also include a talk show, hosted by Lucy Adams and including guest speakers Steff Nurding, Charlotte Thomas & Daphne Greca. On Saturday, the guest will again get the oppurtunity to watch ‘Girls Skate India’.
Vans is opening a Skate Skool on Sunday 11th of March assisted by House of Vans tutors. House of Vans is partnering with local collective Skate Moms and providing free tea and cake for all to celebrate Mother’s Day.
