BTS’ ‘Film Out’ talks about the agony of missing a loved one

BTS dropped their hot new single “Film Out” on Friday, April 2, in which they talk about the pain and agony of missing a loved one, Rehnuma reports.

The song will be part of their fifth Japanese album “BTS, The Best”. It has already captivated audiences all over the world in less than three days. The song has broken records and set trends. It has dominated the iTunes charts in 97 countries and regions.

The song “Film Out” is a slow-paced ballad, with a few rock elements that help it stand out. Acoustic guitar is used in the song, particularly when it’s paired with the chant-like moments. It’s also a plus point that there’s no heavy-handed voice synthesis. The song is co-produced by J-pop’s Back Mumber’s Iyori Shimizu, alongside BTS’s Jungkook. This collaboration will bound to be appreciated by the Japanese audience.

The intricate and very thoughtful lyrics are well-crafted and are very emotive. The captivating track has a clean and trendy feel to it, and the soundscape is full of pop rock vibes. The music is conceptually relevant, and the sincere vibes are addressed in a wise way. The track creates magical moments with a surreal feel.

“Film Out” tells an emotional story. It’s about a past friendship that the members fondly recall, but that person has slipped away, and they now yearn for the times they shared. The lyrics of “Film Out” fit well with the plot of “Love and loss” of the film “SIGNAL”, in which the song is set to feature.

“Film Out” music video showcases exquisite and brilliant graphics with a retro pastel colored visual. BTS is seen reflecting on the past which stroke a personal passion. The theme of reminiscing pervades the melancholic tune and the longing lyrics of the song.

The scenes of the MV reminds the audience about BTS’s moments from the past music videos, as if they are skipping through old memories to find the ones that they spent together. Army can’t help but to indulge themselves in making new theories for the Bangtan Universe Narratives.

Though the new song is out and breaking records in every chart, Army have to wait a little longer for the whole album. The 23-track album “BTS, The Best”, containing the song “Film Out”, will be out on June 16.
