The American talk-show host Opray Winfrey will be leading an all-star- television program. The show is a tribute to honor the late American Congressman John Lewis. Lewis is celebrated for his contribution in establishing civil rights in America. Anika Khan reports

In a statement, Oprah talked about the extraordinary man that John Lewis was_ “a man of great vision who lived a life with the purpose of making sure America lived out its ideals.” The TV special will feature interviews, performances, and conversations about John Lewis. Filmmaker Tyler Perry, actor Brad Pitt Yolanda Adams, Common, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Trevor Noah, Bill Poster, and Yolanda Adams are all set to be a part of the tribute show.

John Lewis: Celebrating a Hero is scheduled to air on U.S.A on CBS channel today. Lewis left behind a legacy of works in establishing better race relations across America. He is renowned to be a part of the civil rights movement alongside Martin Luther King Jr. He passed away at the age of 80 on 17 July after fighting a short battle with cancer.
