For the third consecutive year, the magnificent Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival returns to glow Franklin Square with new handcrafted lanterns constructed by lantern artisans from China from May 1 to June 30. Twenty-eight stunning lantern displays fill the historic park when the sun sets. Including 200-foot-long dragon, lantern designs have included sea creatures, lions, pandas and mythological creatures to dazzle visitors once again. The festival also features Chinese performance art, crafts, food, a beer garden and more.
