Water is the most important resource for survival. Water privatization is soaring in England. Water privatization is the result of global climate change. William Blake’s London, states “And the hapless Soldiers sigh Runs in blood down Palace walls”, is all about the chaos with one such odd development which shouldn’t take place in due course but is bound to happen. The water crisis and privatization of all of it was a pre-warning of the degradation of the environment.
Water in Ireland and England at present was controlled by the local authorities. This venture is framed as a municipal service. This case is no longer seen in either country. The privatization in England and Wales under the Conservative Party led by Thatcher. It was said that these local water authorities converted into private companies. Ten regional water authorities were sold in the year 1989. The word ‘authority’ was lost from their respective names. The story that lay behind it was that the organizations shifted from being those services run for the public good. They changed their strategy to become companies that run for profit.

The decision that made this organization privatize was to shift the responsibility for the bill which states the water infrastructure update away from the public domain. A majority of people were not in favor of the privatization of water in Britain in the 1980s. The Conservative government went ahead with the decision, though they already knew about the toxicity of the matter. They decided not to take up the matter in the general election. The University of Greenwich supposedly shows that according to academics water bills have increased to 40% above the rate of inflation. This has been happening since 1989. The crisis over the current issue related to the water companies in England stands as a perfect example of the perils of privatization.
