Snow Still Causing Major Disruptions Across the UK

It seems like the weather isn’t let up anytime soon. People across the UK should expect the snow and below-freezing temperatures to continue through the weekend.
The snow, freezing temperatures and blustering winds have caused major disruptions across the UK. There have been major travel disruptions with motorists trapped in their cars on snowy motorways.
Many trains and buses suffering major delays due to traffic and the gritters not being able to cope. Passengers were stuck on broken-down trains through the night.
There have also been power cuts across parts of Scotland and Devon. The army have had to be mobilised to help NHS health staff get to work so that they could be available in case of emergencies.
Expect the temperatures to continue to be below freezing, with the wind chill factor making it feel a lot colder.
“We are not out of the woods yet. There’s further snow to come, as well as a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain,” said Steven Keates, a meteorologist at the Met Office.
