The White House Communications Director Hope Hicks Quits Post

Donald Trump’s longest serving political aide and the White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks, announced yesterday that she was resigning from her post.
This statement came after she had to sit and testify in front of the House intelligence committee for a very long nine hours on the topic of whether there was any Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Up until the FBI’s inquiry, Hicks had flown under the radar but with the ongoing investigations she has come under increasing scrutiny. When questioned she admitted that she denied any Russian influence on the elections but she admitted that she has had to tell a few white lies to appease the president.
During the presidential campaign she was press secretary and once Trump moved in to the White House she moved on to being press secretary there. Before that the 29-year-old former model had worked for him at the Trump Organization.
Since the beginning of his presidency, many have resigned and this gave Hope Hicks the chance to become the White House Communications Director.
After announcing her resignation, which should happen in the next few weeks, Hicks issued a statement saying, “There are no words to adequately express my gratitude to President Trump. I wish the President and his administration the very best as he continues to lead our country.”
