Director: Roar Uthaug
Cast: Alicia Vikander, Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins
Everyone remembers the Tomb Raider franchise; the 2013 game reboot saw the series go back to more gritty, survivalist roots than the original games.
I for one liked this change of tone and this film follows suit. Featuring Alicia Vikander in the role of Lara Croft, this movie focuses more on Lara’s origins.
After finding a note from her father written before his untimely death, Lara starts to look for a mysterious Tomb called the Mother of Death.
Any fan of the games will no doubt be seeing this but it should even prove interesting for those who haven’t delved into the series before.
